Disabling an Active Directory Domain User account temporarily prevents a user from logging in to the network. Disabling an Active Directory Domain User account is normally done when the user is on a long leave. If you want to make the Active Directory Domain User account active again, you must enable the account.
1) To enable/disable an Active Directory domain user account, open the Active Directory Users and Computers MMC snap-in, right click the user object and select “Properties” from the context menu. Click the Account tab. To disable the account check "Account is disabled" check box. To enable the account, uncheck the "Account is disabled" check box.
