How to change the position of Group on Excel Ribbon's Tab

In this tutorial we have two custom groups in Excel Ribbon's custom Tab "OmniSecuTab". The Tab Groups are named as "OmniSecuGroup 1" and "OmniSecuGroup 2", as shown in below image.

If you want to change the position of Group inside Excel Ribbon's Tab, follow these steps.

Step 1 - Right-click anywhere on Excel Ribbon and then select "Customize the Ribbon", as shown in below image.

"Excel Options" window is opened and its "Customize Ribbon" Panel is displayed as shown below. Excel Ribbon's custom Tab "OmniSecuTab" and Groups "OmniSecuGroup 1" and "OmniSecuGroup 2" are marked inside right-side list.

Step 2 - The top-most Group inside its parent Tab in right-side list corresponds to the left-most Group in actual Excel Ribbon's Tab. Refer below image.

Moving a Group up in right-side list will result in moving the Group to left in actual Excel Ribbon. Moving a Group Down in right-side list will result in moving the Group to right in actual Excel Ribbon.

To change the position of a Group in Excel Ribbon's Tab, select the Group in right-side list. After selecting the Group in right-side list, click "Move Down" or "Move Up" (according to your requirement) Arrow to change its position.

For example;

If you need to change the position of Group "OmniSecuGroup 2 (Custom)" to the first position inside its parent Tab, select "OmniSecuGroup 2 (Custom)" and use "Move Up" arrow to bring it to top, as shown in below example.

Position of the Group in right-side list changed to top inside its parent Tab, as you can see from below image.

You can see from below image that the position of "OmniSecuGroup 2 (Custom)" has changed to left inside actual Excel Ribbon's Tab.

Similarly, you can change the position of a Group in Excel Ribbon's Tab to the right side using "Move Down" arrow.
