Excel Quick Access Toolbar (QAT)

Excel Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) is a toolbar menu which is located in the top left corner of the Excel window.

Excel Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) contains commands independent of Excel Ribbon tab. An Excel user can customize Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) to include the commands which are used more frequently in Excel Quick Access Toolbar (QAT). Benefit in adding the commands to Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) is that the user can find all the commands which he uses frequently in a single location. User can avoid jumping between different Ribbon tabs to find the commands which he uses frequently.

If no customization is done, by default an Excel Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) is similar to below image.

By default, the Excel Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) displays following commands.

1) Save button - Save the changes made on Excel file
2) Undo button - Undo any changes
3) Redo button - Redo any changes
4) Customize Quick Access Toolbar - A Drop-down menu to customize Excel Quick Access Toolbar (QAT)
